ACCESSIBILITY FOR CHILDREN AND BABIES

For safety reasons, during the visit we recommend to use back or front carriers for babies.
At our facilities the toilets are provided with changing tables.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR DISABLED PEOPLE

The cave is not accessible for people with motoric disabilities, since the tourist path consists of 500 steps to go down and 500 steps to come up.
In our Visitor Centre a free ”Virtual Tour” is available, which allows disabled people to have a 360-degree visit of the cave from the outside.

CLOTHING

There is a nearly constant temperature of 11°C degrees all year round.
To make sure you are not cold, we recommend you to wear a jacket and comfortable shoes, as there are many steps.


PHOTOS

Taking photos is allowed, also with flash, using hand-held equipment.
However, for safety reasons, it is forbidden to take pictures walking down the stairs (risk of slipping).
Tripods and monopods are not permitted in any part of the cave.


DOGS

Small dogs are allowed but only if kept in a pet carrier or a bag.
Under no circumstances can dogs walk in the cave, due to hygiene and safety reasons.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

The cave is open in any weather conditions.
In case of heavy snowfall we recommend you to contact us.

PARKING LOT

Our facilities offer a large free parking lot (unwatched).
It is allowed for camper vans to stay overnight, although the area is not specifically equipped for them.
